• This is a fantastic opportunity for a Strategic Finance Partner to take on an exciting new career challenge
• You'll be a key member of the Commercial Banking Finance Team, partnering both the Business Banking (BB) and Sales and Specialist Businesses (S&SB) with CB
• Both businesses have a crucial part to play in supporting the UK economy recovery and this is an exciting opportunity to Partner those businesses in this crucial phase.

What you'll do

You’ll manage the primary relationship with the Managing Directors of BB and S&SB. 

This role is will accountable for driving purpose-led strategic dialogue and proposing actions to maximise the value from our cost base to our stakeholders, collaborating across the wider business and Finance.

You’ll also:

• Develop, shape and influence the strategic direction of the overall allocated business, through internal and external finance metrics, applying a combination of commercial insight, financial acumen, and broader analytics
• Provide high quality strategic advice and stakeholder insight to support the decision making of the Executive Committee member
• Provide business specific spotlights and conduct competitor and external analysis to optimise stakeholder and commercial outcomes to deliver or exceed external commitments / consensus.
• Lead and manage a strategic finance team within a large, complex and rapidly changing business
• Provide support and challenge to the business to help them achieve their strategic goals

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll need good stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate, influence and resolve conflict. Along with planning and organisation capabilities, you’ll need the ability to deal with ambiguity, uncertainty and risk and work in a flexible environment.

You’ll be able to distil and simplify complex requirements to support decision making in partnership with senior stakeholders.

You’ll also need:

• The ability to provoke and lead strategic change within a senior executive team and to rapidly assimilate connections to other parts of the bank’s Technology business, namely CDIO’s
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate, influence and resolve conflict at ExCo level
• Planning and organisation capabilities and the proactive intervention of risks and issues that might compromise delivery of the right customer outcomesThe ability to deal with ambiguity, uncertainty and risk and work in a flexible environment
