TalkTalk Technology Supply Chain team provides sourcing, inventory and fulfilment management expertise serving TalkTalk’s core network and field engineering teams across the country.
The team is responsible for ensuring TalkTalk and third-party engineering teams have a supply of equipment and spares available to maintain and upgrade our network, with equipment installed across more than 3,000 sites.
The Stock Control Co-Ordinator role provides support to TalkTalk Technology in the installation and maintenance of key network equipment.
As part of a small team, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Stock Control Co-Ordinator will undertake continuous stock counts, perform stock investigations, and undertake quality checks. A key aspect of the role will be to manage the optimization and consolidation of stock through FIFO, to ensure inventory accuracy, service excellence and eliminate stock shrinkage. The Stock Control Co-Ordinator will also assist in the processing of all stock inbound and outbound when required.
Co-ordination with TalkTalk suppliers and internal customers is crucial to ensuring that TalkTalk can hit its ambitious network improvement programme.
The Stock Control Co-Ordinator is a key member of the Technology Supply Chain Team. The main responsibilities for the role are to:
Making sure stock is received, stored, packed, and dispatched according to the highest standards
Booking Inbound deliveries, performing quality checks and monitoring capacity levels
Assisting with booking transport collections and customer deliveries
Maintain high customer satisfaction levels through service excellence
Ensure the accuracy of systems, inventory, and shipments are maintained
Undertake weekly cycle count activities and stock investigations
Lead the annual stock take
Manage the Stock Optimization and Consolidation processes
Interact with clients to resolve problems or answer questions
Ensure that all work is completed on time and safely and reported back to the Supply Chain Manager
Respond to reasonable requests made by the Management team
Ensure customer expectations are always met and exceeded against the agreed service level agreements
Develop a good working relationship with all members of TalkTalk and its partners
Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures
Ensure a professional image of TalkTalk is presented to clients and visitors and ensure excellence in customer service is always delivered and promoted
Ensure you undertake all training and use the equipment which is provided by the company
The successful candidate MUST have:
Intermediate Excel skills
Stock Control & Audit experience
Strong communication skills
Confidence and ability to manage suppliers
FLT License
Also beneficial would be:
An understanding of telecoms network equipment and component terminology and application
Process improvement experience
Ability to manage stakeholders
Supplier Management experience
