Group Finance Operations is a vertical function across all Vodafone markets and is the operational heart that is accountable for the delivery of the financial actuals across Vodafone. 

 

The Head of Finance Transformation and Governance is accountable for the overall management of the function including Group Fin Ops strategy, governance and communications together with additional responsibilities to include the oversight of key programmes including IFRS 16 and R2R transformation.

 

S16 Stabilization Lead is responsible for driving the stabilization of processes, systems with regards IFRS 16 adoption E2E across the organization. The Lead is expected to develop a Process - Product Strategy Roadmap in line with Agile/SAFE methodology and transferring the strategic vision into execution and measurable results. The S16 Stabilization Lead gathers input, synthesizes feedback and makes recommendations and drives decision-making on future development of the process and systems from business owner perspective.

What will you be doing?

  • Process Design: Owns the process flows for their process along with any associated controls. Leads the development of the process-product roadmap. Provides input to define and refine the Vodafone process model. Drives process standardisation and process improvements by identifying demands and implementing respective policies. Collaborates with other Process Communities for improvements of touch points and enhancements across functional boundaries, i.e. with Technology and SCM.
  • Process Performance Management: Defines KPIs to be used to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the end-to-end business process and monitors the performance of the process. Works with the VOIS Delivery teams to drive business process improvements. Setting and overseeing the maintenance of process master data within the context of the EVO Data Governance Framework and standards and monitors adherence. 
  • Process Compliance and Policy: Monitors compliance of process to policies and drives measures to ensure that relevant compliance requirements are met. Ensures that a standard set of controls are maintained for each process. Manages the mitigation of internal audit findings related to the process design.
  • Process Communication & Change: Manages the global community of stakeholders through the Process OpCom (or similar virtual team created from the functional experts in the VOIS, across OpCo Fin Ops and EVO teams). Drives the required business change along the implementation of the process roadmap and is actively involved in the communication of the process roadmaps.

 

Who are we looking for?

  • Breadth of experience in blue chip Finance departments / Shared Service Centres, previous roles in global business process management
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS 16 and REFX system
  • Experience in managing projects related to lease accounting and REFX beyond pure line organisation activities
  • Strong financial skills with passion for maintaining strong control environment
  • Demonstrable record of delivering change programmes with people impact
  • Previous experience of managing virtual teams
  • Influence without authority and political intelligence
  • Be your authentic self; match yours and company values 
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills including good personal presentation, oral and written communication skills, exposure and dealing with diverse and senior stakeholder in the organisation
  • Strong change management skills including Cross cultural awareness on global scale with multinational experience
  • Managing virtual teams and having managed off shoring projects, taking teams through large scale change program
  • Business process and control acumen and ability to identify varied business problems and suggest solutions, even “out of the box”
  • Demonstrates a robust personal style and ability to manage through volatility: Increasing need to deal with ambiguity.
