SR Systems Design Engineer - 130463

The Role:

An exciting opportunity within the client platform Debug and Automation team. Work with a larger team of senior developers to create solutions to help scale AMD’s automated testing and debug infrastructure to meet our ever-growing line of products. Help the team to migrate existing tools to the cloud and adopt industry standard best practices for creating robust and scalable solutions. The Person:

We are searching for a Software Developer to help create world-class automation and debug solutions to help validate AMD silicon. The ideal candidate has experience in automating hardware / software test execution in post silicon environment. Candidate should be a highly motivated, self-learning software engineer and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are very important.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with internal customers to gather requirements and develop solutions that address their needs
• Manage assigned JIRA tickets and report status in bi-weekly meetings
• Support execution teams using our tools, helping to troubleshoot issues real-time in the lab
• Work to a deadline in a fast-paced environment
• Multi-task between several assignments / tasks

Preferred Experience:

• Solid understanding of Software Engineering principals like Object-Oriented Design
• Experience with C# and scripting languages like Python and Ruby
• Experience with Cloud platform technologies like Azure or AWS
• Experience with JIRA and Kanban process
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines, responding to changing business and technical conditions with minimal direction
• Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and interpersonal
