Sr. Software Development Engineer

The Role:

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be part of a cross-disciplinary team responsible for the user experience of AMD’s graphics products. To this end, you will be charged with researching ground breaking technologies and collaborating with multiple software functional teams to deliver the best possible user experience to our end-users.

The Person:

Our team is looking for a proven C++ developer with proficiency in object-oriented design and development for the Windows environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain core technologies for innovative applications on AMD platforms.
• Promptly triage and resolve quality and performance issues raised by customers and QA.
• Work closely with product managers and teams from other functional areas to gather and document software requirements.
• Actively participate in design reviews and code reviews.
• Collaboration with international teams of software specialists.

Preferred Experience:

• Proficient experience in C++and OOP design and development.
• Proven experience developing Windows desktop applications.
• Solid understanding of Windows internals.
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, conscientious, and a standout colleague.

Good to have Skills:

• Experience with Qt and QML
• Prior experience with multimedia and audio/video processing and streaming
• Mobile application development experience
• Knowledge of DirectX and OpenGL
• Familiarity with network programming and communication protocols
• Prior experience developing Windows Store applications.
• Background in game development

Academic Credentials:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/Computer/Software Engineering or Computer Science
