As a Software Engineering Manager working in Office 365 Exchange Cloud infrastructure, you are responsible build teams, lead engineers to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve components, services, systems to manage hundreds of thousands of cloud servers and devices to achieve high availability, low latency, cost efficient enterprise cloud services. You will also need to use cutting edge technologies such as Machine learning, AI, apply to cloud infrastructure level in very large scale.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:
• Able to build teams and lead engineers on large scale efforts and have team-wide impact.
• Partnering within Microsoft teams to build cutting-edge large-scale cloud infrastructure like deployment platform, patching platform, configuration and experimentation system etc.
• Building distributed, highly available and resilient systems. Analyzing, designing and implementing subsystems and ensure the highest code quality and performance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Science or other related technical field.
• Familiar with one or more general purpose programming languages.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping apps and/or services.
• Excellent technical design skills and proven ability to drive large scale system designs for complex projects or products.
• Proven track record as a strong and effective engineering manager - 3+ years of experience leading and growing successful teams.
• Fluent English communication skill.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ambitious, self-motivated
• Agile, can-do attitude and great at dealing with ambiguity
• Excellent track record of cross team collaboration
• Strong coding, debugging and problem-solving skills
• Expertise in developing large-scale services
• Expertise in microservices, container, VM etc.
