SR Maintenance Technician

 

The Role:

The Test Operations Lab at AMD is hiring a Semiconductor Test Lab Manufacturing Technician. The Person:

The ideal candidate has a proven understanding of semiconductor testing and good technical knowledge on equipment and testing documentation. You have experience in equipment verification, repair and problem solving. Though you are independent, inventive and take initiative, you are also a phenomenal teammate with a positive working demeanor. A successful candidate will have excellent project management skills, as well as customer service skills when dealing with contractors and suppliers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose equipment problem and service / repair / solve equipment software and hardware
  • Provide basic and higher technical level of debug via root cause analysis in resolving equipment related issues / improve equipment availability to achieve production goals and objectives.
  • Execute engineering evaluation of equipment upgrades/enhancements and lab equipment maintenance activities per engineering request/procedure.
  • Document test results and generate result and debug report timely.
  • Perform lab equipment calibration and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and conversion requirement.
  • Ensure schedules are followed exact with ramp planning and to plan and work with external source to fulfill requirements.
  • Assist in schedule and plan for delivery schedule for R&M and lead repair requirements of equipment from internal teams to external vendors
  • Update existing / build new training manuals and provide on-the-job training to operators and technicians
  • Establish operational procedure and general specification and ensure all vital Quality records are updated in a timely manner
  • Support lab operation on day-to-day operation transactions
  • Ensure that internal customer due dates are adhered to, or that customer is advised of any changes arising due to priority or other reasons.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Must be willing to work the compressed work week
  • Hands-on experience, analytical & systematic approach to problem solving, maintenance of test equipment or system level reliability testers
  • Computer knowledge (Proficiency in Microsoft Office) and skills in report generation.
  • Ability to work alone and with a team
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Extensive knowledge of Electronic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Extensive Knowledge on 5S, EHS, ISO9001 and other standard methodologies of measurement.
  • Extensive knowledge of ATE test floor equipment and the ATE test floor business operations
