Our client a large Multinational Integrated Services Firm based in Mississauga has an immediate opening for a Sr. Financial Analyst. Reporting to a Sr. Manager the Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for,
Manage weekly and 3 month rolling cash flow forecast. Work closely with numerous departments to ensure forecast is accurate
Review Payroll accounting processes with the Human Resources team and working closely with HR to continually improve the payroll integration process
Reconcile pension, with Actuaries, Trustees, Pension & Benefits Manager and auditors at year end for preparation of actuarial reports. Ensuring that the actuaries’ forecasts are reflected correctly in the budget.
Prepare month end journal entries for pension, payroll, bonuses, loans
Administer banking for all entities including setting up new users, managing cash flow/liquidity, daily bank transfers, investment proposals to CFO and resolving deficit cash
Responsible for opening new bank accounts, establishing payment methods (EFT, ACH, wire, etc.) and cash summary reporting
Oversee the Concur expense report system to ensure appropriate financial reporting
Account for financial obligations such as loans and leases
Assist with the monthly financial forecasting process for key entities
Help prepare, co-ordinate and manage the annual budgeting process
Ad hoc projects such as implementation of polices, testing of SAP modules and onboarding of new entities
Provide support to the Chief Financial Officer, other financial staff, senior management, and business analysts as needed
Assist with various other third-party financial reports such as banking covenants, quarterly banking package, etc.
Requirements
A professional Canadian accounting designation CPA or Finalist
Experienced user of SAP software is a requirement
3 plus years of relevant accounting experience working in a multinational company.
Must have excellent computer spreadsheet skills. Demonstrated advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Methodical thinker with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Desire to learn and develop and improve accounting and financial skillset
Self-starter who can manage work under tight deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
