A company Robert Half is working with, has a pressing need for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team in the London, Ontario area. Put into effect and cultivate data-driven planning processes and improve upon monthly and quarterly reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst will be in charge of driving world class strategic and financial planning methods, developing rolling forecast processes to ensure resources are leveraged with maximum effectiveness, and building long-range operating plans to support business initiatives. You will render variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. You will provide strategic analyses and recommendations while being directly involved in the coordination of various planning cycles (quarterly forecasts, monthly outlooks, and annual planning). This Senior Financial Analyst role will give you the opportunity to become an integral part of the team, which will allow strategic input to the senior leadership of the company. Your responsibilities in this role

- Demonstrate monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

- Provide assistance to Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

- Supervise monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources

- Overview performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities

- Get together with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation and prioritization

- Organize and check forecasting reports

- Digest and enlighten internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

- Direct weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

- Let effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

- Work in close coordination with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

Requirements

- Talent for simplifying complex problems and building solutions

- Previous workmanship with financial reporting tools

- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, CPA preferred

- Forecasting experience preferred

- Proficiency in Hyperion Financial Reporting

- Variance analysis experience desired

- Financial reporting experience

- Accomplished presentation skills

- 3+ years experience with advanced financial analysis, planning and budget controls required

- Manufacturing- industry experience preferred
