Job summary
The Amazon Studios team is looking for a highly motivated Content Standards manager to execute the review of Amazon Original television series and movies in the EU.. They will work closely with the Creative Development, Programming, Production and Legal teams, always making sure to represent the voice of our customers. This position will require prior S&P experience and expertise, knowledge of content related policies (especially for OTT), and an understanding of shifting customer and cultural sensitivities. The successful candidate will have proven proficiency in the implementation of Standard & Practices policies for film and television, direct project management experience, and experience of managing a team. They will have strong analytical abilities and proficient written and verbal communication skills. They also will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail), and will enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. The position will sit in London or Munich reporting to The Head of Global Content Standards in Culver City.

Key job responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review scripts of scripted television series and movies, as well as creative outlines for non-scripted television series and documentaries
• Screen and provide written notes and/or approvals on production cuts and final versions of each title.
• Help lead internal discussions with all stakeholder teams regarding content to ensure that it reflects the diversity of our customers and enhances their experience.
• Keep track and inform Programming, Production, and/or Operations of any outstanding issues so they can be resolved before launch dates
• Maintain positive working relationship with all parties involved in creating and producing programming that is acceptable for the Prime Video service
• Accurately represent, and advocate for, the Prime Video customer in all analysis and meetings
• Document S&P discussions and decisions throughout the evaluation process in order to provide context and rationale for future reference

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors’ degree from an accredited university
• 7+ years of professional experience with 3+ years in Standards & Practices at a television network or preferably in an online video service
• Excellent verbal, written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English.
• Experience within a corporate environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• The candidate should be comfortable with review of and discussion about potentially sensitive subjects and be able to handle these maturely.
• Proven ability to think clearly in ambiguous situations and make unbiased ethical decisions, always upholding Amazon’s Leadership Principles and our Content Guidelines.
• Ability to handle a high volume of time-sensitive tasks in an expeditious and precise manner in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to prioritize, work efficiently, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams
• Ability to influence without authority and manage stakeholders
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication in Spanish, German, Italian or French
• Proven written and verbal communication skills to convey key insights from analysis
• Understanding of the television and OTT programming landscape
