Robert Half is actively looking for an accomplished Senior Accountant for a short-term contract / contract / temporary opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role
- Ready monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting - Bring a daily dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process - Coordinate quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors - Take part in various department-wide initiatives - Administer monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP - Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations - Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners - Build analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks) - Ad-hoc projects as required

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:
- Strong familiarity with EFT Payments - Financial Statement experience - Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) - Bank reconciliations experience preferred - Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings - BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired - Skilled with ERP systems - Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills - A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers - Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment - SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience - A candidate with financial reporting systems proficiency will be the best fit for this position - Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities - Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required - Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports - Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines - Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
