As Senior Accountant Enterprise you will be responsible for:
§ Independently compiling, completing and reviewing working papers and financial statements for all Review and/or Compilation Engagement documents to be issued to clients, including working papers, financial statements, planning documents, notes, attached schedules, management letters and tax returns.
§ Providing constructive feedback of working papers and Review and/or Compilation Engagements and offers guidance and direction to Team Members to support their growth and development
§ At the invitation of Partners, attend the Review and/or Compilation Engagement final meetings with clients to observe and contribute towards discussions as appropriate.
§ Identifying tax planning opportunities and more efficient tax treatments for corporate and trust tax returns and brings them to the attention of the Senior Manager and/or a Partner.
§ Completing compliance review of prepared corporate and personal tax returns, including preparation of income tax slips and filings, including T4's and T5's.
§ Implementing tax engagements while meeting the Firm's quality standards.
§ Providing technical expertise, coaching and guidance to Team Members who need tax support on their client files or specific questions from their clients.
§ Preparing tax plans and compliance related reports.
§ Preparing client correspondence, including reports, discussion of technical issues and recommendations
§ Coaching team members by providing support and development and by conducting performance evaluations, if deemed appropriate.
• CPA Designation or finalist
• You need to have worked through complete Review and Compilation Engagements and tax files in a public accounting firm setting, have excellent knowledge of Canadian Income Tax
• This technical knowledge typically comes with 3-5 years of working experience.
