Senior System Design Engineer (system integration, regression and release management)
THE ROLE:
Our team plays a major role in architecting and shaping every graphics board offered by AMD.
As part of the Datacenter GPU Validation team, you will be developing and leveraging fully automated test cases to ensure enablement of GPU features as well as for detecting software, hardware, or platform bugs.
You will work across diverse groups spanning firmware, driver, debug, automation infrastructure and specialized IP teams to help root cause and resolve issues encountered along the way.

THE PERSON:
Experienced debug or validation engineer with a background in GPU/CPU SOCs or embedded products
Linux power user and strong Python developer
Enjoys new challenges and quickly adapts to change in a fast-moving environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support, design and develop in-house system integration and/or regression infrastructure and test cases used for GPU/CPU validation
Develop deep understanding of upcoming AMD SOCs, IPs and programming libraries to enable framework and create automated hardware test cases
Debug hardware and software components of the SoC by working with Silicon/IP design teams, key architects, software, and hardware validation teams
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic process improvements
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge in hardware programming, bring up and test methodology
Software and hardware debugging skills, especially in Linux environment
Working experience with CI/CD or similar test frameworks
Hands on software development, programming, debugging and test automation experience
Strong Python scripting experience and OO design
Knowledge in other languages is an asset
Demonstrated understanding of PC Platform Architecture, with hands-on experience in assembling PCs from components, set-up, configuration etc
Familiar with source controls systems like Perforce, SVN and Git
Good communication skills and ability & desire to work as a great teammate
