Plan, debug and handle manufacturing and characterization test programs for next-generation AMD microprocessors. Work on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) platforms including LTXC Sapphire and Verigy 93K. Debug test infrastructure issues including test HW, test SW, and device-specific IP. Engineer must ensure overall compatibility, compliance, and test coverage of microprocessors from product definition through product qualification and into high volume manufacturing by developing product specific test hardware, software and diagnostics.
Years of experience and education: Candidates will have a B.S. in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus 2 years of directly related experience or M.S.
At least one year programming experience with Ruby, C++,Java, C, or C#.
Familiar with general Computer Architecture concepts such as pipelining and caching, x86 architecture, and PC computer organization.
Courses in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Digital Logic, and Circuit Theory.
Experience in Lean, XP, AGILE, Scrum, or Kanban processes.
Experience with revision control (GIT, SVN, CVS, or similar).
Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Ruby, shell script, or similar
Familiar with Linux or Unix Operating Systems.
Familiar with Microsoft standard apps (i.e. Office), Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
Ability to collaborate and the ability to work with geographically distributed product engineering teams.
Experience in silicon debug using ATE implementing test specifications, ATE patterns/vectors, and ATE timing.
Familiar with using logic analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other debug tools.
Familiar with JTAG IEEE 1149.1 specification.
Familiar with hardware description languages.
Statistical analysis experience to resolve population mean and outliers.
Pareto experience to drive a debug process.
Work experience in any of these areas preferred.
