THE ROLE:

The AMD Server Platform team is seeking a co-op engineer to assist with profiling and optimization of product performance constrained by power, tools development and debug of power management issues on current/future EPYC server products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help debug prototypes and perform lab experiments in order to achieve production-worthy products  
• Help setup, utilize, and maintain lab equipment such as power measurement test stations, oscilloscopes, NIDAQ instruments, multimeters etc.
• Post silicon performance bring up and debug of new silicon with power management features fully enabled.
• Analyze results and possible causes for underperforming silicon using advanced methodologies.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.

• Eager to learn and improvise to solve problems.
• Familiar with Windows/Linux operating systems and Python or equivalent programming language.

• Have experience handling computer hardware such as motherboards, processors PCIe and other IO components.
• Have experience with engineering lab equipment, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies etc.
