Developing great technology takes more than talent: it takes amazing people who understand collaboration, respect, and who will go the “extra mile” to achieve unthinkable results.  It takes people who have the passion and desire to disrupt the status quo, push boundaries, deliver innovation, and change the world.   If you have this type of passion, we invite you to take a look at the opportunities available to come join our team.

Post-Silicon Debug - CO-OP / Intern:

In this position, you will perform CPU post-silicon debug for the next generation of AMD’s flagship CPU products. The applicant will learn modern AMD X86 CPU architecture, debug tools and methodologies, and debug processes, and will gain post-silicon experience.

THE PERSON:

A highly motivated self-starter, who is passionate about CPU architecture, solving problems and reaching goals. The candidate should have excellent coding, communication, and interpersonal skills and collaborate well with others on his team, as well as with other business units.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

·       Development and implementation of system software to verify CPU architectural and micro-architectural features.

·       Develop tools, infrastructure, processes and flows to root cause logical bugs in CPUs.

·       Debug silicon issues on hardware and emulator.

·       Work on related projects and/or assignments as needed.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

·       Strong programming skills with C/C++

·       Experience with version control software (e.g. perforce, git)

·       Familiarity with computer architecture

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
