Graphics Design For Test Engineer Co-op/Intern

THE ROLE:

New packaging coupled with high-performance architecture on leading edge technology are creating unique design and testability challenges. Candidate will have a unique opportunity to participate in multiple DFT aspects, including feature analysis, verification and structural test (ATPG) on AMD’s leading-edge Graphics design. Role incorporates many aspects of DFT development including, 1) evaluating design structures and characteristics to code and integrate DFT architecture, 2)) development of DFT feature test plans and coding of test sets to achieve targeted functionality and coverage quality, c) creation and validation of structural test patterns to achieve high fault coverage objectives.

THE PERSON:

• A successful candidate will have basic familiarity with DFT concepts including memory MBIST and Scan techniques along with some exposure to various IEEE standards, including JTAG 1149.1 and 1500.
• Ideal candidates are goal oriented, self-starters, able to drive objectives to completion.
• Desire individuals with excellent analytical skills and a passion for problem solving. Strong interpersonal skills are needed to navigate and coordinate objectives across our geo-distributed team, strong verbal and written communication are highly desirable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, and integrate RTL code and verify the latest architectural DFT solutions covering complex clocking, memory, and logic structures.
• Participate in test insertion and timing analysis and constraints validation using the latest industry tools
• Drive design analysis and integration of new fault models to achieve high test coverage and pattern efficiency to meet quality and cost targets for AMD’s next generation graphics designs.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Familiarization of basic Design-For-Test (DFT) concepts and IEEE standards, Digital Logic design & RTL coding using Verilog.
• Exposure to Physical Design and HLD Verification concepts (UVM preferred)
• General coding experience with C/C++/scripting languages.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

BS/MS or PhD candidate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related
