Speech Language Therapist
- Fixed term (full time and part time positions options available)
- Based in our Christchurch Office

Using your specialist speech language therapy skills and experience you will help maximise learning and promote social inclusion for children and young people with learning support needs.

About you
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
- The successful applicant will be able to work effectively across both school and early childhood sectors.
- The successful applicant will have a working knowledge of our Learning Support Delivery Model.
- Responsibilities will include working with children and young people, their parents, caregivers, whÄnau, educators and other Learning Support personnel in delivering speech and language services.
- Excellent teaming, interpersonal and communication skills are essential as is an ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner.
- The ability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi is essential as is a strong understanding of Ka Hikitia Ka HÄpaitia.
- Skills in working with children with complex learning/communication needs and knowledge of the early childhood and/or school curriculum are an advantage.
- Competence in Te Reo MÄori me ona tikanga and be able to weave this expertise into the work of Learning Support as a speech language therapist.
- A full current driver's license is essential
- Overseas applicants should have their qualifications approved by New Zealand Speech-Language Therapy Association (NZSTA) in order to determine that they are suitable for working within New Zealand.
