Your new role
On any given day you will:
- Preparing run sheets for these deployments and provide handover and support to the Production operations /Release team to deploy to the Production environments
- Deploy code changes and maintain code version in non-production environments
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Payments applications and support their adoption in all environments
- First level of investigation for any application, server, integration and infrastructure issues in non-production environments
- Assisting production support teams with issue debug, analysis, replication and resolution in test environments
- Engaging required integration and support teams for any assistance of application environment issues and deployment support
- Any maintenance support for application infrastructure such as closing vulnerabilities, server upgrades, provisioning and migrations.
- Installing, configuring and maintaining monitoring tools on the application infrastructure and providing first-level support
- Working with support teams to triage/fix issues with the deployments.
- Contribute to the technical design of system enhancements
- Work within in a team environment and complete associated tasks
- Build, maintain and develop release and change processes in the compilation and distribution of software builds and releases to development and test environments, as well as system updates into production
- Troubleshoot complex deployment and environment issues.
- Assist with preparation and documentation of deployment and configuration scripts for development, test and production environments
- Contribute to the development of data models
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong experience in performing deploy/release functions
- Have strong scripting knowledge background in Unix/Linux environment
- Experience in building reusable and extensible assets
- Exposure to container orchestration, (Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Docker, Ansible etc)
- Strong diagnostic and analytical abilities.
- Familiarity with Build/Deployment tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Git, Artifactory and IBM UCD or equivalent
- CI/CD Tooling experience in an enterprise environment
- Agile methodologies and working on short sprint cycles
- Experience with AWS and/or VMWare and/or IBM WebSphere Application Server Administration would be highly desirable
