We have an exciting new opportunity for a Solutions Business Analyst to join our IT Global Forwarding team in Port Melbourne, where you will engage with diverse stakeholders to ensure that the client’s organisational objectives are understood through the analysis and synthesis of information.    

With a key focus on executing strategic plans, business model analysis, process design and systems analysis, your adaptable and strong stakeholder engagement skills will ensure that the business feels supported.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Execute business analysis, provide input and develop the business case for a project by identifying the benefit associated with the project and determine the operational dependencies.
  • Understand and define business needs and translating them into business processes and system needs (process mapping, requirement gathering, scoping).
  • Maximise profitability by linking management goals and standards with the practical means of achievement in a high impact operation or area of the business which drives significant improvement in profitability.
  • Identify benefits associated with particular pieces of work, operational dependencies, and establish appropriate proposals to clearly articulate the requirements.
  • Collaborate and work with cross functional teams to take the project from feasibility through to detailed design, implementation, testing and go live.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience successfully contributing to the delivery of complex, large scale IT projects
  • Experience in translating business requirements in to a 'fit for purpose' solution
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting business process re-engineering and business requirements analysis
  • Strong documentation skills across case analysis, data/process flow diagramming, process mapping and detailed business and functional requirements documentation
  • Experience in CargoWise1 (CW1) & Freight Forwarding experience highly advantageous
  • Strong knowledge across technology and SDLC
  • Willingness and desire to learn and take on new challenges

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related discipline
