What You’ll Do:

• Create and deliver innovative and cohesive data system solution designs that unlock the power of data

• Collaborate with Business and Information Architects, Engineers, Delivery, Data Scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure our solutions deliver real business value

• Work with other technology teams to develop solutions that are secure, highly responsive, scalable, highly available, and resilient in the face of failure of dependent components

• Build and facilitate the creation of reusable archetypes and offer guidance on how archetypes can be used and evolved based on use cases

What You’ll Bring:

• Enthusiasm for solving business problems with data and cutting-edge technology

• Strong communication and collaborative skills – able to steer a team of experienced and autonomous technologists towards a shared goal

• The ability to weigh up multiple solutions to a problem against different priorities, e.g. security, performance, maintenance cost and time

• A broad data and technology background and the ability to articulate architecture approaches and decisions to technical and non-technical audiences alike

• Ideally Public Cloud Experience (GCP) but not essential

Solution Architect is part of the Architecture Group within DTA and will report to the Head of Solution Architecture

Osterley:

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.

Livingston:

Our lively campus is a free shuttle bus away from Livingston South train station and the town centre. Plus there’s onsite parking available for cars, motorbikes and bicycles.
