    Scottish Widows is one the largest UK fund managers with c.£152 bn (30 June 2021) of customer funds under management / administration. The customer fund range includes regulated funds, life and pension funds, external fund links and the Workplace Savings Fund Platform has also introduced a custom blended fund service.


    The role is in the Platform Investment team within Investments, and will focus on activities arising from fund launch and change on our Workplace Savings platform. 

    Some of the activities you'll be involved in are:

    • Supporting the Solution and Change Manager on the delivery of a broad portfolio of work.

    • Instruction and oversight of fund launch and change activity.

    • Participation in change/launch pipeline and associated meetings.

    • Instruction and oversight of fund closure activity.

    • Delivering on additional activities and queries arising.

    • Getting involved in other activities across the wider team as required.

    • Maintenance and development of controls and processes.

    What are we looking for from our applicants? 

    You'll have:

    • Previous experience and good understanding of life and pension products and investments and in particular workplace savings.

    • Previous experience in an investment operations environment would be desirable, ideally familiar with unit pricing processes.

    • Experience of handling a high volume of data.

    • A broad working knowledge of funds and investments.

    • Strong customer focus.

    • Strong written and oral communication skills.

    • Excellent planning and organisational skills with an ability to adapt to a flexible agenda.

    • Strong partnering and partner management skills to enable you to liaise with many colleagues across Scottish Widows and with external companies.

    • A can do attitude to delivering in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

    Our team works our out of our Edinburgh and Gloucester hubs therefore we'll need you to be based a commutable distance from one of these areas. We work in a hybrid model, splitting our time between the office and working from home.
