Job Description

We are looking for several Software Testers to join our growing team who works in a mission-critical Defence environment where you are testing tools that keep Canadians safe!

The tasks will include:

• Test planning and strategy.
• Drafting, developing and maintaining test cases.
• Executing test cases.
• Authoring of test case reports.
• Verification and analysis of problem reports.
• Peer review
• Developing and maintaining automated testing as part of the automation framework.
• Secondary duties could include:
  • Advising on other software development issues pertaining to manual or automated testing.
  • Supporting and participating in trials and test events as directed.
  • Other tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in C++, Java or other computer languages.
• Knowledge of repositories such as GitHub or Clear Case.
• A College Diploma in Engineering or Computer Technology (or equivalent) or a University Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent) 
• At least 1 year of work experience in software testing would be ideal. 
• The following would be considered a strong asset:
  • Agile testing experience
  • SAFe certification
  • Knowledge of specific testing tools such as Rational Quality Manager

Additional Information

• Must hold a valid Secret level (Level 2) security clearance with the Federal Government/PSPC. This level of clearance can take up to 1 year to process, so preference will be given to candidates who already hold this clearance.
• Will do need to be eligible and receive the Controlled Goods Certificate. We will process.
