Our clients are looking for a remote Software/Firmware Engineer with Secret (Level II) Security Clearance to work on their ISTAR program.

The Software/Firmware shall meet the following Depth of Knowledge:

• Software/Firmware Engineer (SFE) must be capable to integrate the ISTAR (intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance) elements in accordance with the system design and proposed Software / Firmware architecture.
• The SFE Must be able to collaborate with the Software/Firmware Architect on any software requirement adjustments. The SFE must work with the Engineers and Specialists in System, Hardware, and Software/Firmware disciplines to integrate the system requirements within their specialties.

Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications

• Must have a university undergraduate degree in a relevant engineering discipline or applied science.
• Must have experience in software/firmware engineering work including experience in any of the following areas:
  • Analyzing, designing, prototyping, and implementing ISTAR software/firmware elements in systems;
  • Communications and Information System Software/Firmware engineering;

Additional/Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Our client requires a combination of education and experience in many of the fields below:
  • CIS Software Architecture integration;
  • Application Development in Java;
  • Structured Analysis;
  • Routing and Switching;
  • Network Traffic Protocols analysis;
  • Wireless and handheld device technologies;
  • Sensor Integration Software Architecture;
  • Military Intelligence and Information Management;
  • System Use Case development;
  • Datalink supporting ISTAR applications;
  • Integration of ISTAR information to Command and Control systems; and
  • Bilingualism English/French desired.
