UI/UX frontend developers working with our customers to develop bespoke tools
C++ developers working on low level, highly performant code
DevOps engineers managing development estate, system monitoring and automating deployments
You'll have the following responsibilities
Perform a broad range of complex technical or professional work activities.
Responsible for software development and software testing.
Work directly with customers to understand and capture requirements/user stories, through to integration, acceptance and customer sign, ensuring delivered solutions align to customer expectations.
Lead delivery teams by providing delivery management to ensure on time and high quality delivery.
Provide technical coaching and mentoring to more junior team members.
Provide experience of industry best practices and challenge design decisions
Be a problem solver, enabling data insight to solve our real-world technical problems in an agile environment
Plan your own and other’s work to meet given objectives and processes.
You'll have the following skills & experience
Due to the sensitive nature of our work, you will be required to gain and maintain high level government security clearance and be willing to undergo the initial enhanced screening. All job offers are conditional on these requirements. You will need to have UK residency for 9 out of the last 10 years and be a UK national. At least one of your parents is also required to be either a British citizen or hold citizenship/nationality.
Experience:
Qualified to degree level or with significant experience of technical delivery
Practicing Technical Engineering Professional
Significant technical leadership and delivery experience
Core Skills:
Make technical decisions which influence the success of projects and team objectives.
Perform a broad range of complex technical or professional work activities, in a variety of contexts.
Most importantly, self-motivated and able to learn on the job.
Technical skills to include one or more of the following:
UX design experience
Experience in developing front ends with: React, JavaScript, NodeJS
MEAN stack
Java 11 and Spring for backend development
MySQL
C, C++, Python / C#
Deep understanding of platforms such as Windows, Linux, Android and iOS
Elastic, Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, git
CI / CD pipelines with Jenkins
Automated testing experience with Cyprus or Selenium
Additional - knowledge of Agile and DevOps would be preferred.
