Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of 5-8 software engineers; create clarity, communicate the team’s vision, strategy and progress to peers, partners and senior leaders; provide expert guidance, hands-on assistance, best practices and training. 
• Foster an environment for your team to thrive â€“ building a culture of diverse viewpoints and capabilities with an emphasis on quality, customer satisfaction, personal growth and inclusivity. 
• Collaborate with engineering teams across multiple locations. 
• Develop project plans for your team to reliably deliver high quality software to agreed release dates.  
• Provide technical guidance to the team to drive continuous improvement of engineering and quality practices to deliver robust and innovative solutions. 

• Set a culture of quality within the team and help teams make long-term architecture decisions. 
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to technical advancement. 

Qualifications

• Experience managing a high-performing technical team, including hiring, developing and retaining talent, building an open, diverse and inclusive working environment where everyone feels welcome. 

• Software development experience in C++, C, Rust or Java. 
• Experience defining requirements, architecting and designing software. 
• Ability to work cross-functionally, to influence for impact, to handle ambiguity, to solve problems, to manage stakeholders and expectations. 
• Effective written and verbal communication/presentation skills through all levels of the organization, technical and non‐technical 
• Native or professional fluency in English
