The Diagnostic Engineering team is responsible for CPU, APU and dGPU IP functional, system, and stress diagnostics. We are seeking an experienced engineer to deliver diagnostics which test the industry leading high-performance interconnects IP subsystem (PCIe, DMA, XGMI, BIF, System Hub).  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand ASIC specifications
  • Define comprehensive diagnostic test plans with the IC design team
  • Develop diagnostics software to bring-up and enable ASIC features on both pre-silicon (emulation) environments and post-silicon hardware
  • Deliver stressful system level diagnostic code
  • Help resolve ASIC, platform, firmware, manufacture, and customer issues
  • Forward thinker to improve development processes, code quality and hardware coverage

Preferred Experience:

  • Embedded software development experience in Linux and C++ programming
  • Knowledge of high-speed IO technologies (PCIe, DMA) is desired
  • Strong debugging (GDB, etc.) skills, hands-on experience with PCIe protocol analyzer, ASIC bring up is an asset
  • Good understanding of x86 processor architecture
  • Fluent written and verbal skills in English

 

Academic Credentials:

Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
