The Cloud Supply Chain & Provisioning Engineering (CSCP-E) group within Azure is an exciting and fast evolving engineering group within Microsoft that powers Microsoft’s Cloud-First mission. Azure is going through hyper growth with an expectation to grow 10x in near future. We are responsible for designing, building and operating Microsoft Azure’s cloud infrastructure. CSCP-E Cadie is looking for an experienced, self-driven, Software engineer. In this role, you will be building an intelligent data-driven, near real time supply chain data processing platform that provides end to end visibility into Capacity Planning, Supply Chain and infrastructure deployment. You will use latest technologies like ML, Databricks and more to provides insights into potential risks, build  frameworks that help in identifying root causes and proactively suggest remediation plan that will help in continuous optimization, cost savings and improve profitability in Azure Capacity management and planning. Our goal is to build an intelligent data & analytics platform that provide the right information to the right decision maker at the right time and enables supply chain ecosystem that delivers the right hardware at right times with lowest cost. 

 

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess combination of software engineering, data engineering and strong business acumen skills that will help them be successful in the role. The successful candidate will work in lockstep with Software Engineers, Data scientists, Business analysts, Product Managers and other stakeholders across organization. Your responsibility will include the following: Ã¢â‚¬Â¯ Design & develop data platform that will enable insights to analyze and measure the rhythm of business Drive architectural design across the engineering team using Microsoft’s latest software and services and/or 3rd party or open source software as appropriate to drive operational excellence on a fast-growing, highly technical team Developing ETL platform and framework to acquire and integrate data from diverse sources like Azure Data Lake, Kusto, SQL Server, Cosmos, flat files etc. Recognize and adopt best engineering practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation You will partner and collaborate with engineering groups, business stakeholders to predict Supply Chain & Deployment Milestones and identify risks that will help in proactive mitigation and smooth deployment  

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, related technical field, or equivalent work experience. 4+ Years’ Experience developing with cloud-based technologies like web services, message queues, event grids, including relational databases, data warehouse, big data (i.e. Hadoop, Spark), orchestration/data pipeline tools.  Ã‚·       4+ years of experience developing in Spark/Python/·       Knowledge on C# is mandatory Preferred experience/skills: Experience with framework, API and Object-oriented designsExperience with map/reduce "big data" systems and services.Proficient in data modeling, ETL development, and Data warehousing, or similar skillsProficient in SQL, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis ServicesExperience with Agile software development using the scrum methodology.Experience in modern DevOps practices (including Git, CI/CD)Strong business acumen and adaptability to partner with the leadership on innovative solutions to constantly changing business requirementsGood interpersonal and communications (verbal and written) skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
