The Microsoft Azure Edge Devices, Platforms & Services (AEDPLS) team is chartered with building devices and experiences that help our ecosystem of partners and customers leverage Azure to accelerate their creation and adoption of the next generation of connected, intelligent, and autonomous edge solutions.  We work across a wide range of industries, partner types, device form factors, and service technologies to enable new application scenarios, provide in-depth business insights and safeguard the security and privacy of our customer/partners data.  

Responsibilities

We're looking for a fast learning, self-motivated and customer-focused software engineer to join the Customer Experience team (CxE). As a member of the CxE team, you will be responsible for the Azure Percept end-to-end platform validation by identifying cliffs/gaps early in the product cycle, define the customer experience quality bar and building Edge AI/IoT end-to-end reference solutions for specific industry verticals and strategic customer engagements. You will also develop and deliver Percept technical (+300 level) training for customers and partners in partnership with the AEDPLS PM teams.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience developing IoT or Edge AI solutions.
• Experience in a customer facing role with a demonstrated customer obsession.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure or similar cloud computing platforms is highly preferred.
• Machine Learning experience, familiar Azure ML services and DL frameworks such as Pytorch and TensorFlow and ML Hardware accelerators is preferred.
• Python/C/C++/.NET programming experience.
• IoT experience, familiar with Azure IoT services such IoT Hub, DPS and security or similar services is preferred.
• Experience with Windows IoT, Linux OS and Embedded RTOS preferred
• Experience using and evaluating ARM-based embedded and X86-based and AI Hardware acceleration edge devices.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn new concepts quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSc or higher in Software, Computer Engineering or equivalent required, MSc is highly desirable.
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops Services Data Explorer/ Kusto/Power BI
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate and share your vision, ideas and plans with colleagues and to be able to deal constructively with opposing views or opinions.
