We’re looking for passionate Software Engineers to join a fast-paced cross-discipline agile team iterating on key iPlayer functionality. You will be a backend engineer tackling a wide range of technical tasks that drive our products forward.

Are you the right candidate?

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in building scalable REST or GraphQL APIs (Node.JS/TypeScript)
  • Highly proficient developing software using TDD/BDD techniques
  • Proficient in using SQL/NoSQL databases (Postgres and Redis)
  • Ability to acquire new software skills and to work with new technologies
  • Experience of building cloud-native scalable architecture
  • Ability to work with stakeholders from Product, Architecture, UX and Delivery to assess feasibility of requirements

 

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Hands on experience of AWS technologies
  • Experience of agile delivery practices
  • Experience with DevOps
