The Commerce and Ecosystem division (C+E) in the Cloud & AI group powers commerce for Microsoft’s key businesses like Azure, Office 365. The Commerce Partner & Seller Experience team within this group is a great place to grow your career while working on initiatives that deliver compelling value to Microsoft’s developer and partner ecosystem across gaming, commercial, and productivity segments.

 

We are hiring a Software Engineer to help us deliver services and experiences for empowering Microsoft’s developer and partner ecosystem to be successful. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Software Engineer with Microsoft technologies / Power Platform experience who is eager to solve new problems, learn new technologies, and collaborate across teams to deliver critical value to business stakeholders.  If you’re interested in working in a start-up like environment with a unique opportunity to make impact across a wide variety of business areas, then we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, you must be able to do the following:

  • Contribute to and maintain excellent design and development processes.
  • Design with focus on reliability and resiliency.
  • Ability to adopt relevant new technologies, tools, methods and processes from Microsoft and the industry.
  • Flight code changes and drive telemetry and analytics to take a data-driven approach to understanding customer impact.
  • Support and influence the team culture of being customer centric and continuously improving.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Software Engineering or Software Development.
  • Experience building applications using C#, Java or Python and Azure or equivalent.
  • The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. 


Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 


-Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements.  


-Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Core D365 CRM development using Power Platform.
  • Experience developing Model Driven Apps and Canvas Apps on Power Platform.
  • Working knowledge of SQL databases and REST API frameworks.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps practices such as Continuous Delivery, TDD, and Testing in Production.
  • Passion for designing experiences focused on Accessibility, Security and Compliance. 
  • Experience building fast and reusable UI components.
  • Extensive troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
