As a Software Engineer 2 on the Edge Engineering Systems team, you will be part of a team passionate about enhancing developer productivity by building and supporting high performance, large scale Azure-based cloud services integrated into Windows, Mac, and Linux development environments. You’ll work within the Edge client codebase (derived from the Chromium Project), with Azure DevOps, and multiple Azure technologies such as Cosmos DB, Service Fabric, App Service, Kubernetes Service, and many others. You'll get to collaborate with a diverse community of engineers both within and outside of Microsoft. Our team uses a variety of Microsoft and open-source technologies to support Edge on all platforms where our customers are.

• Collaborate across functional and partner teams to define requirements
• Enthusiastically support the services that the team operates

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• A BS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline or equivalent work experience
  
• 3+ years of professional experience in the technology industry, including  SRE / CI+CD / DevOps practices
  
• 2+ years of experience programming in C# and/or Python
  
• 2+ years of experience developing high availability services and/or microservices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent design, coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Effective collaboration skills driving changes at scale
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with creating and operating services in Azure/AWS/GCP
