Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer II to join us in developing sovereign cloud services for the Microsoft Incentive Compensation platform. These services cater to business stakeholders, as well as the internal sales professionals at Microsoft; they allow for building compensation plans, manage quotas, track attainment, and manage payouts.

 

As a member of our team, you'll get the chance to work with a breadth of technologies ranging from micro-front ends built on ReactJS and TypeScript, serverless architectures, data processing using Spark and Azure Databricks, Data Lakes, SQL, as well as a variety of back-end services written in C#. You'll work in an agile environment, with the chance to innovate, solve hard engineering and data problems, and work together with your colleagues.

Responsibilities

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Developing, testing, and maintaining various components of our platform.
  • Engaging with your peer engineers and program management to deliver comprehensive end-to-end solutions
  • Providing input into design of the Incentive Compensation system.
  • Participate in live-site on-call in a DevOps environment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience. 
  • 4+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping cloud services using either C#, Scala, or Java.
  • The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

 

-Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements. 

 

-Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Azure environment.
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment.
  • Experience working in geographically-distributed teams
  • Experience with financial systems and reporting.
