Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Programming experience, and experience in one or more of the following: C, C++, Python.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience developing or designing large software systems.
• Experience with Unix/Linux or embedded systems.
• Experience with ARM/ARM64 architecture, compilers, firmware, Operating systems, Linux kernel, filesystems/storage, device drivers, performance tuning, tools, tests, virtualization, platform libraries, etc.
• Knowledge of the Android platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and roll out features for users. Work on core system components including memory management, updates, and storage.
• Collaborate to support the Generic Kernel Image (GKI) for devices.
• Contribute upstream to various open source projects.
• Create and maintain a reliable, secure, and robust foundation for the Android software ecosystem.
• Participate in representing Android at external technical conferences, such as Linux Plumbers.
