Come join the Azure Cosmos DB team, where you will be working on a large-scale, distributed, transactional and analytical database. This role is within the group which works on High Availability (including Replication, Leader Election, Geo Failovers, Multi-Master, Tunable Consistency Levels), Storage (Row Store, Column Store, Log Structured Store), Inverted Index, Database Engines like BwTree and other LSM technologies. The role is flexible within any of these focus teams. In this role, you will work on >core engine and distributed systems problems that powers the planet scale database, that is Azure Cosmos DB. Responsibilities

You will have a fantastic opportunity to work on highly impactful core engine technologies along with other highly talented engineers in a very diverse, inclusive work environment to deliver differentiated value in the No-SQL database space.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with coding in one of C, C++, C# and Java.
• Experience with improving product quality, service operations or engineering fundamentals.
• Excellent collaboration skills.
• A Master’s degree (or Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of work experience equivalent) in computer science or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience building and shipping production software or services.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in performance evaluation and benchmarking.
• Experience in developing cloud services, service management and service operation tools.
• Experience in developing and maintaining engineering systems and tools that support large development teams.
• Experience working with large code base and complicated systems.
• Experience using agile methodologies or test-driven development (TDD).
