Azure is at the center of enabling cloud computing for Microsoft services as well as our public cloud and edge business. The Azure development team is responsible for the design, implementation, and delivery of Azure technologies, including Compute, Networking, Storage, High Performance Computing, Engineering Systems, and many productive developer services.
This is Senior Software Engineering role in Azure's Chief Technology Officer's (AOCTO) Incubations Team. The Azure Incubations team works on cutting-edge projects across all of Microsoft Azure. This specific role focuses on developing serverless technologies, including application models, using DevOps practices and runtimes. As a software development engineer, you will work with a team to develop, build and incubate this strategic, high potential project and help mature it as a successful Azure product and open source cloud native.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving the state of the art in building and deploying applications. Strong development, coding, analytical, interpersonal, and written skills are required, as this candidate must be able to build bridges between groups, community, and industry leadership. The candidate must be familiar with developer technologies including different programming languages and frameworks, along with an understanding of cloud native technologies. Knowledge and previous experience of how to build scalable, highly available public cloud services is essential for this role. In this role you will work with customers to understand practical problems facing developers today and solve those problems by building the next generation of application development technologies.
