Software Developer Engineer - 130001

The Role:

The Developer Solutions Group at AMD creates software tools that help improve the most powerful GPU applications from desktop to cloud, including AAA games, movie quality rendering, supercomputing, bitcoin mining and beyond. We are looking for software developers who love solving problems and want to have an impact. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and optimize key developer tools and SDK features and products
• Collaborate with architects and product developers to create a robust and scalable software architecture while delivering the best user experience
• Work as part of a team of talented engineers, participate in design discussions, solve problems, perform code reviews, and contribute to a culture of constant improvement
• Own features and drive them from inception to finished product
• Research and study the newest hardware features and software technologies and help drive the industry forward by creating new innovations.

Preferred Experience:

• Background in computer architecture, operating systems, and compiler technology
• Cross-platform software development
• Expertise with application performance optimization on CPU or GPU
• Developing tools or libraries for use by other software developers
• Computer graphics and ray tracing technologies
• GPU execution model and architecture
• UX and usability concepts
• GUI toolkits such as Qt
• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in teams
• 2 years C/C++ experience

Academic Credentials:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Math or Engineering
