About this role
The role holder is responsible and accountable for the financial performance, service delivery and development of a subset of a managed outsourced/IT Contract, or a subset of a small to medium sized contract. The contract manager operates in support of the Business Manager.
You'll have the following responsibilities
Own and maintain (including create where necessary) contract routes to market which enable further Smart Bases sales. For example CCS RM3808, TTS, DFTS. Skills: CCS previous experience desirable, remainder OJT over years 1-2.
Own and maintain asset procurement, stock levels, throughput and ownership. Each customer deal can vary whether customer or BT owns equipment. Internal customers: Smart Bases CM, DBI Team, Finance Capex forecast, Finance Capex Asset validation/valuation, Smart Bases sales team. Skills: Organisational and IT skills mandatory, Good communications skills mandatory, desirable: negotiation within key suppliers such as Cisco and Fortinet.
Own and maintain Smart Bases financial forecast. Skills: understand P&L structure desirable, understand BT forecasting desirable, remainder OJT Q1. Internal customers: Smart Bases CM, Demand Management System, Smart Bases P&L.
Create and execute Smart Bases cost transformation measures. Skills: understand business optimisation concepts desirable, good communications, clear thinking and ability to question status quo without embarrassment. Internal customers: Defence CT.
Own and maintain Smart Bases resource forecast. Internal customers: Smart Bases CM, Demand Management System, Smart Bases P&L. Skills: Able to build relationships to enable trust and dialogue with dealing teams to build forecast demand.
Manage multiple technology refresh commitments and maintain forward plan. Internal customers: DBI Team, Smart Bases SM, ITS Designers, Pre-sales, PM, Sales Team. External customers: all contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
To maintain and develop customer relationships and customer satisfaction.
To ensure contract commitments are delivered within cost targets, contract profit and revenue growth.
To be accountable for contractual service levels.
Business Impact:
Impact is functional in scope.
Responsible for the financial and business performance of a small subset of a larger contract.
Authority for significant decisions and financial accountability would lie with the Business Manager.
bAuthority to make decisions and judgements would be within a defined framework.
The Business Manager would exercise a high degree of supervision and direction, such that accountability for under-performance would be at this level rather than that of the Product Manager.
You'll have the following skills & experience
Finance, customer service management / delivery, and relationship management experience.
Broad understanding of BT’s products and services desirable.
