Job Description

Site Reliability Engineering at Gousto

Gousto Tech has a DevOps mentality. Our software engineering squads are responsible for the complete lifecycle of the software they build, including operational responsibilities in Production. To support them and our customers, our SRE squad looks into all aspects of reliability, scaling, and automation. We find ways to make developers' lives easier while delivering a better experience for our customers.

SREs work with all squads to help measure and enable the right level of reliability of our Tech. We apply a software engineering mindset to our production environment and operational challenges. So far, we have delivered accountability via SLOs, improved observability tooling and automation, and run several SRE-themed workshops.

We work with other Foundation squads (Platform, Data, Mobile) to ensure all aspects of the software life cycle are covered.

The Site Reliability Engineer Role

You would be joining a small team of enthusiastic engineers who encourage a culture of learning, collaboration and pairing. The team is led by an ex-Google SRE who provides direction, knowledge and experience to enable SRE across Gousto.

Gousto is scaling at an incredible pace. This presents a unique opportunity to grow your skill set while solving interesting and challenging problems. Joining the SRE team you can have a massive impact on our colleagues and our customers.

The interview process:

At all levels we promote equality, ensuring our people are consistently treated in a fair and equal manner. If you need reasonable adjustments at any point in the application or interview process, please let us know.

In your application, please feel free to note which pronouns you use (For example - she/her/hers, he/him/his, they/them/theirs, etc).

Requirements

  • Experienced with reliability tooling (Datadog, PagerDuty, etc).

  • Eager to work closely with development teams to improve their software.
  • Eager to work in a collaborative team environment.
