We are now a couple of years into our 10-year plan for growth and leading an exciting time of transformation and industry disruption. As our world changes the volume of parcels we process every day is growing rapidly. To ensure we future-proof for this continued growth, we are investing in the transformation of our network to support our strategic goals over the next 10 years.
As part of this change and growth, we are building a new Processing Centre in Wiri and we are looking for a Site Installation Manager to join our team on contract until June 2023.
KÅrero mÅ te tÅ«ranga - About the role
In this role you'll be responsible for managing and co-ordinating of all on-site installation, commissioning and testing activities for the successful implementation of the new Materials Handling Systems for the Auckland Processing Centre (CPC) as it heads into implementation in approximately June ‘23.
Working with and managing various internal and external teams during their respective activities on site, you'll use your strong relationship management skills to keep everything ticking over and on track. You'll manage and balance the complex nature and needs of the project, along with navigating and removing any roadblocks and meeting key milestones along the way.
Safety and Wellbeing is key at NZ Post and your core focus will be ensuring all on site comply with any requirements of the principal contractor of the building construction and internal NZ Post OHS and specific safety requirements.
MÅu - About you
As an experienced Site or Project Manager, you'll bring with you a wealth of experience working on sites where automation or material handling systems (MHS) has been central to the project. You'll understand the complexity this can bring from installation through to commissioning and apply your experience accordingly.
