 Silicon Design Engineer

OVERVIEW:

The candidate will be involved in Memory Controller IP design / design verification / synthesis related tasks. He/she will have the opportunity to delve into different roles in the team before settling on a specific choice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn about the ASIC Design Life Cycle
• Partcipate in the different phases of development of the IP
• Debug functional/performance bugs within the Memory Controller IP

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong digital logic concepts
• Strong understanding of computer architecture
• Ability to write and understand intent of Verilog
• Shell scripting and Perl/Python for automation, data collection and data analysis
• Some knowledge of verification concepts and/or synthesis tools
• Possess strong algorithmic thinking and experience with Object Oriented Concepts 
• Must have good teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion
• Knowledge of DRAM Protocols / DRAM Design / Memory Controller design is a plus

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with some experience.

MS and PhD candidates with or without prior industry experience are welcome (all degrees must be related to CS or EE).
