The Role:

The Radeon Technology Group MI SOC Architecture team is responsible for defining and optimizing SOC architecture to support a broad class of use cases and workloads for the AMD INSTINCT products.

The purpose of this position is to contribute significantly to engineering analysis required to specify and design future processors. As a member of the team you will have significant deliverables in order to achieve overall product goals.

What You Will Learn:
You will learn about analysis tools, debug and testing methodologies, and modeling of architecture features. The types of problem-solving techniques that will be gained will provide a great stepping stone for advanced graduate degrees in any field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing tools and methodology for modeling processor power and thermal profiles.
• Assist in software and scripts to support analysis and data collection.
• Collaborate with architects in analysis and debug of simulation sightings.
• Participate on cross-functional engineering teams, work closely and help resolve software build and infrastructure related issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Software Development using C++ or other Object-Oriented Languages, 
• Scripting and automaton of workflows using Python or Perl
• Experience working with Revision Control Systems
• Good Software Engineering skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Academic Credentials:

• BS/MS/PhD in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or related.
