This is a 12-month fixed term role.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic Quality Technical Writer to help ensure that the documentation used by Synlait is kept in line with best practice documentation management.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Technical Writer or for someone with a Dairy Operations background looking to make their way into Quality.

This role will ensure that the process for controlling and updating controlled documents is followed in Synlait’s nominated document management system and that documentation meets brand and template requirements ongoing basis.

You will develop, maintain and improve the Food Safety Document System to provide clear, easy to understand and implement standards, procedures and work instructions to the business and provide coordination of Standard Operating Procedure creation, editing, review, approval, and publishing activities across all teams for key projects.

Qualifications

• Relevant Tertiary qualification is desirable
• Formal qualification in Plain English writing would be an advantage
• Formal qualification in auditing would be an advantage.

Experience

• 2-3 years’ work experience in a food manufacturing environment is essential.
• Experience in a dairy manufacturing or other food environment is required.
• Previous experience in professional role where team-work, flexibility, tact, confidentiality accountability, diplomacy and sensitivity were critical
