If you like helping people – really making someone’s day – join us as a Services Assistant this Christmas and you’ll be helping us spread the festive cheer to millions of customers. In this role you’ll find real variety, depending on the store you could be completing tasks on the shop floor, serving customers at the checkouts or in a petrol station, or working in the office. Wherever you are you can really be the difference for our customers this year. 

This role is about doing the right thing for our customers and making sure you really wow them with the best shopping experience possible. After all, we’re a 150-year-old business built on excellent customer service, so you’ll be the friendly, professional face on checkouts, in kiosks and at the assistance counter. You could even help customers pick up their click and collect parcels.

In fact, you’ll be doing everything you can to make things simple for our customers when doing their Christmas shopping; from helping with queries, refunds, and price control, to putting up posters and advertising, or doing the right thing to ensure we’re meeting the rules and legislation for working with petrol. 

Part of a close-knit, dedicated team all working and winning as one team, you’ll always have support on hand; but we’ll also trust you to use your own initiative. You’ll be given all the support you need to do the best job you can. It’s about making a difference to everyone around you.  

Whilst we don’t ask for specific experience, we do ask that you’re able to deliver a friendly, efficient, and seamless service and you’re able to be yourself. You can make things happen at pace, delivering a friendly and efficient service and you’re open to working flexibly when things get a bit quieter.
