Job Description
The Service Transition Manager will:
- Work within the existing TalkTalk Service Transition process to ensure that new or enhanced existing services are introduced into production with the right level of governance.
- Work with the relevant Stakeholders, conducting Impact Analysis activities to ensure that specific implementation requirements are documented and delivered within timescale.
- Build robust service support models which reflect the Service Design.
- Manage the Early Life Period as a service moves into BAU.
- Raise service risks discovered during the transition in accordance with TalkTalk’s risk management policy.
- Participate and adhere to Audit responsibilities, including ISO9001 and other compliances.
- Adopt a Continual Service Improvement approach to all aspects of working and not be afraid to “question the normâ€
You must be flexible and adaptable to fluctuating demands, in addition you must be innovative and creative, and have the relevant Service Transition skills. The aptitude to introduce new ideas and with the ability to turn ideas into operational practice, working supportively with others to ensure effective systems and processes are implemented that support our operational teams, in a rapidly changing environment.
You will need to have:
- Ability to practically demonstrate experience of Service Transition.
- Knowledge of Service Transition Management, Project Management, Delivery and Change Management ideally within Telecoms.
- Excellent people skills and management practices with the ability to motivate others through own enthusiasm. Good communication and influencing skills to be able to deliver feedback to product and operational teams.
Be great to have:
- ITIL Foundation or Service Transition certification.
- Understanding of voice and data product sets, processes and data sources.
- Telecoms, Release & Deployment, Change Management and Testing experience.
- Proven track record of achieving outstanding results within service and continuous improvement.
- Experienced with handling complex and challenging situations.
