About this role

The Service Improvement Specialist directly supports the Senior Manager of Service Improvements by driving the scope of complex, small to medium size technical sub-project deliverables through the software development lifecycle (functional & non-functional) into production. The role requires significant engagement across wider technical teams in the organisation, bringing parties together to clarify and resolve issues.

You'll have the following responsibilities

Focus will be on improving IT Service for Openreach customers working in partnership with Business Units (SD / FND / CCP / CEng)

Incident Management / Problem Management / Service Request Management

Understanding what it takes to improve Minimum Service Levels & Customer Experience – and build a Service Strategy that delivers tangible improvements / outcomes

Ownership of executing against the Service strategy by building business cases / influencing decision making using data points to support / delivering against the business case on-time and within budget

Providing technical expertise to inform contract and commercial management.

You'll have the following skills & experience

Good understanding of IT Service (ITIL models / TMF / ITSM)

Prior experience in Technology roles – Understanding Software delivery lifecycle models (Agile / Waterfall / Release)

Proven experience in delivering business outcomes using Technology solutions (Inception – Ideation Phase r to delivering the business benefits)

Demonstrable experience working in a technology roles.
