Azure for Operators is building a team to help mobile operators take advantage of the innovation unleashed by the introduction of technologies such 5G, Software Defined Networking / Network Function Virtualization, Edge Compute and the next generation Internet of Things. 

 

We’re growing our Business and Information Systems team. The Azure for Operators team deploys Microsoft and partner products to provide next generation services in over 1000 carriers’ networks.  

Service Engineers work to support the technical tools, platforms, and solutions that the Azure for Operators teams use to build, test, support and deploy all aspects of the product and solutions.

Responsibilities

Build new and improve existing Azure software development and testing environment(s) for Azure for Operators 1st and 3rd party services using Azure best practices (e.g. DevOps, IaaS, automation)

  • Create/maintain tooling for the creation/maintenance of these environments
  • Interface with other engineering teams to develop requirements for Azure environments
  • Architect Azure environments based upon gathered requirements
  • Ensure monitoring of Azure environments for reporting and alerting
  • Develop Azure governance and reporting process
  • Mentor other team members and provide technical guidance as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications / Experience Desired:

  • Experience creating Azure resources using ARM templates, Azure CLI, and/or PowerShell
  • Creating and troubleshooting Azure networking (VNet, subnetting, peering, Network Security Groups (NSG), DNS zones, and routing)
  • Creating, troubleshooting, and monitoring Azure storage including backup and recovery
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and policy / governance reporting
  • Securing and monitoring Azure networks and environments
  • Source code control with Git
  • Linux system administration
