The Information Protection Services team builds large scale security solutions, and we are looking for a service engineer to help us deliver the next generation of security solutions and services.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Engineer who is passionate about secrets management, data loss prevention and process design. We are looking for a Service Engineer who is ready to be a part of a team that moves fast, leverages continuous delivery practices, and is centered at the customer experience. This position requires strong collaboration across teams and organizations and you’ll play a vital role in engineering critical security services.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a team environment, experience running and designing enterprise-scale services and platforms, technical depth in cloud platforms, agile development practices, SQL, and experience in designing and tuning telemetry. In addition, this position requires an individual who can demonstrate the ability to ensure highly resilient and scalable service designs through partnership with other members of the service team and our product group partners.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities:
Drive detection, labeling, and remediation of all sensitive information across all of the Microsoft tenant.
Analyze product performance and operability. Identify gaps and bugs and drive to resolution.
Manage availability, latency, scalability and efficiency of services by engineering reliability into software and systems. Focus on operability of the service including security, privacy, resiliency, business continuity and disaster recovery.
Develop a data-driven approach to identify security risks and the threat landscape.
Maintain an unwavering focus on Quality of Service. Execute with high accountability to schedule and quality and have passion to improve, evolve and revolutionize the systems you manage.
Participate in the incident management lifecycle, including escalation, communication, debugging, resolution, and problem management. Lead service teams through live site reviews and corrective action plans. Participate in 24x7 on-call on a rotational basis.
Qualifications
Basic Qaulifications:
2+ years of experience in Service Engineering environment, especially in providing high level production support services
At least 1 year of experience SQL (MySQL/Sql Server/Sql Azure)
At least 1 year of experience programming with PowerShell/Bash
Minimum 1 year reading, writing, and configuring code for end-to-end service telemetry, alerting and self-healing capabilities
Preferred, not required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related sciences – or equivalent work experience.
Prior experience managing a cloud environment
Experience with Virtualization (Hyper-V/Cloud VM)
Experience as a database administrator
Ability to create robust operational documentation
Experience with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) on point solutions and ability to manually simulate service outages Experience using Agile Development processes
