Job Description

An exciting modernisation and transformation journey is underway at Morrisons, and our Technology teams are working together to improve how technology is used across our business. As part of reviewing how we deliver that technology, we identified the need to define, embed, and mature our Service Design and Transition processes and this role is part of a central team of two people who will drive that. 


You'll be responsible for:

  • The management and oversight of a central pipeline of design and transition
  • Overseeing services/products transitioning into support for our Enterprise Services departments and our supplier base
  • The oversight of the design and transition process, ensuring that all parties follow agreed processes and engagement 
  • The management of AIS and Go Live decisions, ensuring that service risks are understood and fully documented
  • Acting as the main point of contact for suppliers and key stakeholders to enable successful management of transition activities
  • The provision of estimated support costs associated with new products or services
  • Ensuring that the final delivery of each service transition meets the agreed customer and stakeholder requirements specified in the service design

About You

You'll ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • A background in operational IT Service and a passion for protecting Production services via an agreed service design framework
  • Experience of working in a complex and fast paced environment 
  • Able to build strong working relationships with 3rd party suppliers and key stakeholders across Morrisons
  • Able to manage and drive the performance of suppliers
  • Experience of ServiceNow would be advantageous
  • A self starter who is well organised and can manage their workload effectively
  • ITIL v3/4 foundation certified would be helpful

You’ll be able to flex your working hours around the core hours of 10am-4pm, and can choose to do different hours each day as long as you’re covering these core hours. Each four day week will contain four average nine hour days.
 
To be more competitive and support our stores and sites more effectively, we now work over a six day operation, Monday to Saturday inclusive, and everyone in our head office now works one Saturday in every four (or 13 a year), albeit Saturday will be a shorter working day of 6 hours.
