The role includes:

• Ensure all warehouse key performance indicators are monitored and achieved through effective management of direct reports.
• Accountability and responsibility for the performance of own department including achieving auditable standards managing KPI’s to ensure targets met and customers serviced.
• Recruit, develop and manage direct reports to support delivery of the business KPI’s
• Develop colleagues through appropriate interventions, such as probationary reviews, appraisals, PDP's and frequent and candid conversations in order to drive high performing individuals and teams.
• Manage all employee relations issues in line with Company Policy and legal requirements.
• Identify opportunities and implement initiatives for continuous improvements in ways of working, quality, consistency and effectiveness of process.
• Contribute to, plan and execute the day-to-day operational strategy including workforce planning using forecasting and trend analysis to ensure operational efficiency.
• Facilitate effective communication within the department, across the site, and also the wider business through regular feedback and ensuring team briefs are conducted which ensure all colleagues are informed of site changes and have up to date business information.
• Ensuring abidance of government regulations including accountability for the SOX compliance, Group H&S, HAACP, food safety.
• You will lead a team of 3 direct reports, with circa 160 frontline colleagues and up to 10 team managers.

 You’ll have:

• Experience in implementing change and continuous improvement and be commercially astute.
• Leadership experience within a Warehouse operation.
• Experience of managing a large team.
• First class analytical and communication skills.

• Be detail orientated with the ability to analyse data which drives performance and continuous improvement
• Desirable:  Educated to HND/Degree Level and/or 5 years’ experience. PC and systems literate
